In recent years, Education in Australia has become one of the highest profile topics in the media and for Governments as Australia strives to become ‘the smart country’, competition for students at all levels means that education intuitions and those working more broadly in the industry need to better understand how people are thinking and what drives their decision-making.
As the spotlight has turned to the education sector in Australia, we have been conducting a significant amount of research to gauge reactions, opinions and thoughts with the people from all walks of life. Some of the most common participants in our education research are… students, stakeholders, administrators and the teaching community.
The types of research services include...
- School/institution attitudes & perceptions
- Student satisfaction
- Parent satisfaction
- Image and reputation evaluation
- New product development
- Website useability and design appeal
- Idea generation
- Advertising development, evaluation and tracking
- Alumni/past student research
- Brand image, perception and awareness
Reflecting our interest and focus on education is the launch of two new reports in 2008 which involve interviews with over 5000 university students.

Heading up our education research area is Dr. Cassie Govan. Cassie has a PhD in Psychology and, prior to joining Sweeney Research, she spent 2 years as a Research Associate at Stanford University. Her years in research and academia in both Australia and the US means she understands education from a range of different perspectives. Cassie has a proven track record in designing best practice research studies at all levels of education (from primary school to post-graduate) and she has worked in a consulting capacity with some of the leading institutions in Australia.
